itself. Ram, which is the epitome of courageous stillness and rejoice,
is embodied by the sincere experiencer of art, who is vulnerable and
still in the moment. Sairam is where the creator and the experiencer of
art and creativity come together. The company’s mission is to provide
creators the opportunity to share their art, and everyone else the
opportunity to experience it.
Sairam started its business with VHS, CD & DVD rental shop in Newroad, Kathmandu. The initial years of business we operated as retailers for audio cassettes, film discs & VHS.
In late 2002, Sairam actively acquired Nepalese Feature Films & produced many studio albums till the year of 2004. Sairam distributed and produced Nepalese Film’s VHS, CDs & DVDs in Nepalese Teritory & exported some in countries like USA, India & UK. The Nepalese Market faced a digital shift in early 2014, and ever since Sairam has been actively integrating the company digitally in all business verticals.
After a decline in the physical retailing market, Sairam actively worked with YouTube & other Streaming Services and delivered Nepalese content worldwide. Sairam partnered with a foreign music distribution company in 2016 to deliver content on DSPs. Since then Sairam has been successfully operating a music recording facility, a record label for Neo-musical genres and film production crew in Kathmandu.
Sairam Pictures is a private limited company, based in Kathmandu, Nepal, pioneering in Multi-Media Production, Distribution, Digital Content Acquisition, and Artist Management. We offer a broad array of services for maximizing digital consumption revenues in many digital business fronts. We are connected to over 260 digital service providers worldwide with over 50 telecommunication platforms in the MENA & South Asian territory.
Sairam Pictures started off its business producing and selling VHS Tapes and Audio Cassettes in 1996. The company pivoted later and introduced Nepalese Film DVDs for the first time. Sairam Pictures operated their rental service till late 2013.
The company became a Private Limited Organization around 2002, Ever since then Sairam Pictures has been actively involved in Film Acquisition and Production. Sairam Pictures now operates Origami Music Group, a record label based in Kathmandu and a music streaming service titled Prevnex Music in Nepal.
